Privacy policy

Last updated: April 2026

This privacy policy describes how CheckCraft (the "Service", "we", "us") handles information about visitors to our website.

Information we do not collect

The CheckCraft check writer and amount-to-words converter operate entirely server-side from the URL parameters you submit. We do not store the payee names, dollar amounts, dates, memos, or bank selections you enter. Once you close the browser tab, your data is no longer accessible to us — the rendering server retains it only for the duration of the request.

Information we do collect

  • Server logs: Like nearly every website, our server records standard HTTP request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for operational and abuse-prevention purposes. These logs are retained for up to 30 days.
  • Analytics: We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand which pages are most popular. We do not link analytics data to individual visitors.
  • Advertising: CheckCraft is supported by display advertising. Our ad partners may set cookies for ad measurement and frequency capping. You can opt out of personalized advertising via the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Children's privacy

CheckCraft is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

If you are a resident of California, the European Union, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you may request access to or deletion of any personal information we have about you by contacting us using the address on the contact page. Because we do not maintain user accounts, in most cases we will have nothing on file beyond the standard server logs described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
